Councilperson Johnson made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as presented, Councilperson Waterfield seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 5 yes 0 no

Presentation of Invoices and Payments:
• Budget reviewed as well as NBT Account balances.

Misc. information to the Town Clerk:
• Sales Tax for the month of APR check from the County $4,432.65
• Letter received by Phil Durkin regarding issues happening on County Route 50 with a parcel of land being transformed into a motocross track with concerns of noise and the illegal traffic on County Highway 50. He would like to review the Town’s comprehensive plan.

Community Center Alden Field and Park:
• Community Center remains closed due to COVID 19 pandemic.
• Electronic collection day has been postponed indefinitely for now.

Health Center:
• Nothing new to report

Village:
Town and Village Board Minutes and info- www.cherryvalleyny.us

Highway Department:
• DHS Field gave an update on highway business. Salt Springville road is in need of some serious attention in certain spots.
• Superintendent of Highways Tony Miles is requesting the seasonal road signs go from April 1 to May 1. Councilperson VanDerwerker stated somewhere in the CHIPS law roads cannot be closed for more than 6 months as seasonal roads. If inclement weather is still causing issues after the 6 month deadline a road block could be put up stating road construction until the road is passable.
• New truck is expected mid October.
• Still waiting on the CHIPS money to come in.

Resolution 2020-5 of the Cherry Valley Town Board

PROPOSED ACTION: As an action of shared services with the Village of Cherry Valley, the designated health officer of the Town of Cherry Valley will also act as the health officer of the Village of Cherry Valley.

Motion to accept Resolution 2020-5 is made by Councilperson Cornwell, 2nd by Councilperson VanDerwerker.

Roll call vote is taken: Supervisor Garretson-yes, Councilperson Johnson-yes, Councilperson VanDerwerker-yes, Councilperson Cornwell-yes and Councilperson Waterfield-yes 5 yes 0 no Resolution 2020-5 is duly carried

• Snow and Ice Contract OCT ‘19 Treasurer of Otsego County $30,589.07
• DEC has a new DECALS system going into effect June 29 with new printer and new website.
• Hunter Safety course is being offered online through the DEC website until June 19.

Community Center Alden Field and Park:
• Community Center remains closed due to COVID 19 pandemic.
• Electronic collection day being postponed until July. Date TBD.

Health Center:
• HC received $126,000 reimbursement.
• Health Center is doing well.

Facilities Corp:
• Supervisor Garretson inquired about sign ups for apartments. Jim Johnson did not have an update at this time.

• Planning Board meeting was cancelled

PROPOSED ACTION: Endorsement of the COVID-19 Fund of Otsego County



Motion made by Councilperson Waterfield to accept Resolution 2020-3 as presented, motion 2nd by Councilperson Johnson. Roll call vote is taken: Supervisor Garretson-yes, Councilperson Johnson-yes, Councilperson Waterfield-yes and Councilperson VanDerweker-yes 4 yes 0 no Resolution 2020-3 is duly carried.

PROPSED ACTION: Establish the office of Deputy Town Superintendent of Highways

Motion to accept Resolution 2020-4 is made by Councilperson VanDerwerker, 2nd by Councilperson Waterfield. . Roll call vote is taken: Supervisor Garretson-yes, Councilperson Johnson-yes, Councilperson Waterfield-yes and Councilperson VanDerweker-yes 4 yes 0 no Resolution 2020-4 is duly carried

Superintendent of Highways Tony Miles waived his right and relinquished the decision to the acting Town Board at this time.

Motion made by Supervisor Garretson to appoint Martin Field as Deputy Superintendent Highway 2nd by Councilperson VanDerwerker. All in favor 4 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
