The regular meeting of the Town Board of Cherry Valley was held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 with meeting called to order at 7:03PM by Supervisor Garretson.

Councilperson Cornwell made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as read Councilperson Barown seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 5yes 0 no. Motion carried.

Presentation of Invoices and Payments:
• Budget reviewed as well as NBT Account balances.

Misc. information to the Town Clerk:
• Sales tax for the month of JAN two checks received from the County $3,068.95 and $2,258.83
• Thank you’s received from : The Museum and Reenactment Fund, Sharon Silver and Gold Club, Cherry Valley Fish and Game Club, Carol Bressett and family, The Roseboom Senior Citizen Club

Community Center/Alden Fields and Park:
• As reported revenue is up from last year.
• Biddy Basketball has ended. Psychic Fair and Dodge ball Tournament coming up in April.
• Two tables have been ordered and 20 chairs to start replacing some of the missing, broken and old tables.

Health Center:
• Cindy Campbell and Tanya’s last day was today. Maureen has a new Nurse Practitioner lined up.

Facilities Corp:
• Supervisor Garretson needs to know the fee for using the Café. Chris Barown will have a bill forwarded to Tom.

Village:
• Town and Village board minutes online @ cherryvalleyny.us

Highway Department:
• No new news to report.

Councilperson Waterfield inquired about the speed limit reduction sent to the State for Count Route 54. Supervisor Garretson presented a letter from the State letting us know the request was declined.

Resolution 2015-2 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

WHEREAS, The Town of Cherry Valley, with the assistance from H2O Partners, Inc., has gathered information and prepared the Otsego County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP); and

WHEREAS, the HMAP has been prepared in accordance with the disaster Mitigation Act of 2000; and

WHEREAS, The Town of Cherry Valley is a local unit of government that has afforded the citizens an opportunity to comment and provide input in the Plan and the actions in the Plan; and

WHEREAS, The Town of Cherry Valley have reviewed the Plan and affirms that the Plan will be updated o less than every five years;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Town Board that Town of Cherry Valley adopts the HMAP as this jurisdiction’s Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, and resolves to execute the actions in the Plan.

Motion to accept Resolution 2015-2 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program as presented made by Councilperson Barown and seconded by Councilperson Cornwell. Roll call vote is taken:
Supervisor Garretson-yes, Councilperson Johnson-yes, Councilperson Barown-yes, Councilperson Cornwell-yes, Councilperson Waterfield-yes. 5-yes 0-no.

Town Clerk requests an answering machine for the Town phone so she does not have to use her personal phone for Town messages. Councilperson Barown will contact Cornerstone to see if voicemail can be placed on the current line for the Town Clerk’s phone number which is 264-8140. This is also used as the fax number.

Mr. Minig inquired if the Town is a municipality as well as the Village?

Motion to adjourn-Councilperson Barown Seconded by Councilperson Cornwell. There being no further business meeting adjourned at 7:49pm.
