The regular meeting of the Town of Cherry Valley Town Board was held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 with meeting called to order at 7:02PM by Supervisor Garretson.
Pledge to the Flag was said.

Minutes of the May 2009 meeting were read. Supervisor Garretson approved the minutes as corrected.

Councilperson Cornwell made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as read Councilperson Johnson seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 3 yes 0 no. Motion carried.
Town share of monthly sales tax collected for the month of March 2009 $3,701.65.
Community Center/Alden Field and Park:
Revenue for May was $222.00. Expenses $3,701.95
Opera is currently renting sporadically for June and July. They pay their bill at the end of the season when a bill is submitted.
Waiting on payment from WIC organization
Misc. Information:
2010 Census Bureau will visit you between April and July 2009
Health Center:
Revenue for May was $37,967.25 Expenses $30,965.28
Town Facilities:
Wm Ryan and Associates to complete new board room by 12-31-09
Village:
Town and Village Board minutes and info online @ cherryvalleyny.us
American Legion 5K Run/Walk-Veteran’s Day Weekend 11-07-09
Lease for the Village Hall has been finalized for Artworks
Visitor Center:
· Lease agreement currently being reviewed by town attorney Lynn Green
Planning Board:
· Vacancy on the Planning Board. Past letters of interest will be reviewed by the Planning Board
Highway Department:
· Rabies clinic scheduled for Sept 15th 6-8PM
· Received a check from insurance company for $4,000 for damages to Town Truck when a guide wire broke and broke the windshield and horns on the truck
Land Use committee:
Walter is working on final Draft to present to the Board. Will need to have a public hearing
Alternative/Renewable Energy Committee:
Meeting held on June 02
Tom and Mark will draft another letter asking residents who did not respond to the first questionnaire to please respond to the questionnaire.
Angelica Goss-Bley and Paul Mendohlson presented a petition regarding natural gas drilling in the Town of Cherry Valley. They gave a presentation re: gas drilling. Presented testimonials from individuals in other Towns who have had drilling in their Communities. There is a conference to be held on June 20th @ Morrisville Sate College on Natural Gas Development.
Question and Comments were received by the public present:
Greg Noonan commented on the gas drilling people who stayed with him and their jobs were to get leases signed.
A lengthy discussion pursued re: this issue
There being no further business a motion to adjourn was made by Councilperson Johnson and seconded by Councilperson Cornwell. Meeting adjourned @ 8:05PM.
