The regular meeting of the Town Board of Cherry Valley was held on Thursday, November 08, 2018 with meeting called to order at 7:03PM by Supervisor Garretson.

Councilperson Johnson made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as read Councilperson Waterfield seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 5 yes 0 no. Motion carried.

Presentation of Invoices and Payments:
• Budget reviewed as well as NBT Account balances.

Misc. information to the Town Clerk:
• Sales tax for the month of SEP $10,623.41

Community Center Alden Field and Park:
• American Legion Post Veteran’s Day Run/walk Saturday Nov 10
• No Thanksgiving Eve dance this year
• Biddy basketball season has begun

Miscellaneous:
• Supervisor Garretson received an electronic message from the County Board of representatives asking if the Board wants to continue to receive their written copy of their proceedings. This comes out once a year.

Health Center:
• Is doing well.



Highway Department:
• The roof has been patched a couple of weeks ago
• CHIPS forms have all been sent in for reimbursement.
• Waiting on quotes for truck body.
• Porth Road needs trees cleared from the right of way. A professional needs to do this work.

Supervisor Garretson handed out an information sheet regarding what the Town Board can and cannot do in terms of a Zoning Law of Appeals or a Town Planning Board decision.

Supervisor Garretson presented the Preliminary Budget for 2019 to the Town Board. Councilperson Cornwell made a motion to adopt the Preliminary Budget for the year 2019 and a 2nd by Councilperson VanDerWerker. All in favor 5-yes 0-no. 2019 Preliminary Budget is adopted.
