The regular meeting of the Town Board of Cherry Valley was held on Thursday June 10, 2021 with meeting called to order at 6:56PM by Supervisor Garretson.

Councilperson Waterfield made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as presented, Councilperson Johnson seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 4 yes 0 no
Presentation of Invoices and Payments:
• Budget reviewed as well as NBT Account balances.
Misc. information to the Town Clerk:
• Sales Tax for the month of APR check from the County $6,663.08
• Otsego County Snow and Ice Fringe payment $2,674.62
• Otsego County Mortgage Tax payment check $9,568.77
Community Center Alden Field and Park:
• Supervisor Garretson spoke with Jeff Stiles and he has approved the opening of the Gym as the ceiling and roof repairs have been completed.
• The Gym Board will need to meet to approve any guidelines needed to comply with the CDC guidelines.
• Marty Field reported the Fire Department is purchasing an AED for the gymnasium and an AED for Alden Field. The AED boxes will have alarms on them that will be linked to the Fire Department members cell phones so they can respond as well if an AED is broke into for use.
Supervisor Garretson contacted the Town Attorney, Will Green, to inquire about a form letter the Town can use to address issues with property owners within the Town. Supervisor Garretson has not heard back from Attorney Green yet. SG will follow up.
Health Center:
• Doing well.
Town Planning Board:
• Councilperson Waterfield supplied a draft visual impact map from Nan Stolzenburg regarding potential solar projects.
Village:
• Town and Village Board Minutes and info- www.cherryvalleyny.us
Highway Department:
• All purpose tractor is here and being utilized.
Public Questions, Comments and concerns…………..2 minute limit per request
Frank McGrath is asking if the Town has initiated any correspondence with Spectrum to put pressure on them regarding broadband service. Frank is asking if Spectrum has a plan or not regarding service for the Cherry Valley area.
Andy Minnig asked for further clarification of the Visual Impact Map Councilperson Waterfield presented.
Mr. Minnig also reported he spoke with Scott from On Time Waste about the bins being filled is because the volume of boxes not being broke down is one of the problems that the bins are filling up so fast. Maybe a sign reminding people to break down boxes before depositing them in the bins.
