Councilperson Johnson made a motion to accept the invoices and payments as presented, Councilperson Cornwell seconded the motion. The invoices and payments have been presented and accepted. All in favor 4 yes 0 no
Presentation of Invoices and Payments:
• Budget reviewed as well as NBT Account balances.
Misc. information to the Town Clerk:
• Otsego County Sales Tax and Traffic Diversion Program for the month of AUG $9,188.65
• Nick Jordan from Cobleskill College and he will be working with Mark Cornell looking for the last remaining trout in the Cherry Valley Stream.
Community Center Alden Field and Park:
• Rentals are up and Biddy Basketball practices will begin in December
• Dog training class is going on now.
• Jeff Stiles and Don Brigham did a nice job with the remodel of the kitchen area.
Community Facilities Corp/Old School
• All the apartments are occupied and there is a waiting list.
Village:
• Town and Village Board Minutes and info- www.cherryvalleyny.us
Town Planning Board:
• NA
Highway Department:
• Henderson is offering a lock in price, which will expire in 30 days of $163,000
• The Grisley racks are almost done.
• Gearing up for winter.
Federal/State/County
• Dave Bliss County Rep gave an update on County business.
• Discussion held regarding the recyclable bins. Brian Laraby (sp?) has the capability to do both garbage and recyclables with one truck. Brian was not able to be at the meeting tonight to present his idea for the recyclables.
Local Law 2022-2 The Property Tax Cap Override will be presented at the November meeting for approval.
Supervisor Garretson presented the Preliminary Budget to the Board for review.
Public Questions, Comments and concerns…………..2 minute limit per request
Phil Durkin, on behalf of the Route 20 Association, would like to thank the Highway Department for installing the marker at the Tepee. There is still an issue with the ATV’s being driven across posted land.
Motion made by Councilperson Cornwell to adjourn the meeting 2nd by Councilperson VanDerwerker
There being no further business meeting adjourned at 7:44PM.
